IMPORTANT CHANGES TO NOTE
Car Riders:
Morning DropOff—
Students will be dropped off at the cafeteria entrance until 8:45 AM. After 8:45 AM, students will be dropped off at the front entrance.
Afternoon PickUp-
Students may be checked out until 3:30 PM. After 3:30 PM daily, parents and small children will remain in their cars and proceed in the car line to pick up students in front of the school.
No parking and walking to the front or inside of the school to meet students will be permitted after 3:30.
At dismissal, students will not be allowed to walk to cars that are parked. Parents will continue to pull all the way around the curve at the front of the school. This enables multiple students to load quickly. The safety and security of students is our number one priority.
Transportation Changes:
A change of transportation requires a written note from the parent which will be verified by a staff member. In case of emergency, we will accept verbal communication once we verify identity of parent/guardian, this must be done before 3:00p.m.
Bus Passes:
NO RIDING HOME ON A FRIEND'S BUS
Bus pass request must be in writing and turned in to Mrs. Cushma in the lobby by 12noon, to be verified and processed. The bus pass must be picked up by 3:00p.m. in the lobby.
Notes that we are unable to verify will not be honored.
Forgotten Items from home(homework, lunch & lunch money, projects and ):
Parents may bring item to the reception desk in the front lobby. In an effort to avoid classroom disruption, we no longer call students out of class. The clerk will e-mail the current and next teacher. The student may pick-up item between classes. Unfortunately, there is no assurance that they will receive the item in time.
Requirements for student pickup: For the safety and protection of your child, we only release students to parents/guardians or persons on student's emergency contact list. Proof of ID is required at the time of checkout. If you need to have a person check your child out of school who is not on the emergency list, we ask that you either fax or bring in your ID along with the name of the person you would like to check out your student. A note or a phone call is not sufficient.
Dress Code: Please review with your child, the dress code policy found on pages 7 and 8 in your students agenda book. Consequences may result for violations of the dress code policy so we want to make certain students clearly understand inappropriate vs. appropriate school attire.
